Buck's School of the Tiger

Lineage and Mentors

The foundational lineage of Buck's School of the Tiger, from Sosai Mas Oyama through Hanshi Donald I. Buck to the present.

Foundational Lineage

Buck's School of the Tiger traces its line directly from Sosai Mas Oyama through Hanshi Donald I. Buck, who established Oyama's Karate in San Francisco in 1957 — one of the earliest Kyokushin schools in the United States. His son, Hanshi Frederick S. Buck, carries that tradition forward today through the American Kyokushin Karate Organization and the Peoria dojo.
